Now THAT'S What I Call Therapy

Today Paisley and I met up with Liz at Toys R Us for some retail therapy. Towards the end of our therapy session- we over heard a young man, who we later found out was a Marine, say "How do you spend $4,000 dollars on a BABY?" I looked over at him and said- "WHAT??? We can help" I think Liz said it at the exact same time too (I'm not sure- go check her blog and hear her version) He and his friend strolled their little carts on over to us and in less than 5 minutes we got their story and filled not one but two carts up. We found out that the age group was 6 and under I think, so Liz would grab a size 2,3, and 4 in boys shirts, and I grabbed a size 2,3, and 4 in girls. We got onsies, socks, shirts, pants, jackets, sweaters, Christmas outfits, you name it- we got it!! It was like that show "Super Market Sweeps" or.... "Shop till' you Drop" do you remember those??? We literally left our kiddies in their cart with a lollipop and returned every minute or so to check on them. We were SO busy. :)

Come to find out, the young men were doing a charity project for Toys for Tots and families effected by the fires here in So. Cal. Our hearts melted. Liz later found out that they did car washes, volunteered at Qualcom, and did other things to raise $4,000. After we filled up the carts- the guy kinda disappeared. We think we scared him to never get married, and to NEVER have a baby. He found the best two people to ever get that job completed. Liz and I were laughing as we left the store that the 6 guys had probably been in that store over and hour and had not even spent $1,000 and in less that 5 minutes (LITERALLY) he had most likely reached his budget.

HA-hahahaha.. Now that was FUN! :)
