Traumatic Target Experience.

*** NOTE TO SELF: Never, and I repeat, NEVER try to do Duvet shopping when your husband is with you. If you do- it may end with a child in time out, IN the isle of Target, Walking out of the store with nothing in your cart- which would be a first- and arguing (calmly- we don't yell in front of Paisley) all the way home.

***EDIT*** OOOOOHHH don't you hate it when you are trying to discipline your child and you say something sternly like "If you do not listen to me, and put the swiffer back, like I just asked you to- you WILL go in a time out" then your oh so loving husband chirps in ever-so-sweetly behind you " Paisley, will you please put it back?" then she does it right away?! ARRRRGGGGG.

Secondly (I guess now it is thirdly), where is all the comment love lately.... C'mon lurkers... I know you stop by, I see you on the feedjit. Say hi for goodness sake!

HI! LOL

I've put mine in TO in Target too, kicking and screaming and all, ah fun times...fun times.

And I TOTALLY agree about NOT duvet shopping with the hubby. Seriously, no flowers, no "girly colors", no ruffles, no, no, no, no, no. So you know what we have... olive drab. What? A marine with olive drab how odd. No worries I dressed it up with orange and bright green pillows my sister had made for me in India. They are silk and totally gorgeous! Sometimes you just have to go around them...

yeah...overalls shopping WITH him is just never a good idea. i'm sorry that stunk so much.

and about the edit...OH MY GOSH. i say carly do this, she doesn't do it. i say, that's one. she says, oh daddy will be mad. and then she does it.

it would be frustrating if i weren't so relieved that something (anything) got her to do what i want her to do.

=( i'm sorry you had a sad day. =(

I suggested sage green (it would look nice with our Espresso colored wood bed frame) and he said that we always have green. Ummmm... no. We have NEVER once had green- of any kind. So what did he pick.... ugly beige. Not cream or brown, beige. Nope. Sorry. I'll wait until my Duvet Smart Mom comes in town today to assist me in my opinions (aka- AGREE WITH ME!)

Too funny we have expresso colored furniture and the green does look really nice with it and the orange makes it pop. Men are so not savvy to decor.

I have learned that Target is "me time"-how sad is that...a trip to Target by my lonesome is the best! If the child comes we spend the entire time in the toy department asking why the toys have to stay in the boxes and we've had our share of meltdowns too. If the husband comes, his attention span is about 10 min and I could spend all day in that store! So now, you'll just have to have a date with your self and head to Target..... K

There is nothing more frustrating to me then when lolo does something only after I've told him 20 times to do it (with no action) then his dad says something and it's done. Really, where is the motherly respect??!!

i just read your re-comment...and i'm thinking about your house...and the only thing i can think of that is green in there is p's baby einstein caterpillar chair! omg - silly boys.

we have espresso furniture too...but i'm scared to death of colored bedding. you CANNOT get beige. thank goodness for duvet smart mamas to make it all better again. plus she's so nice she'll find a way to tell him that will make him believe it was HIS idea to begin with. good luck! i'm looking forward to seeing what you end up with.
