Guess What?

Today, at the gym.... I ran. And no one was chasing me!!!

Stephanie- can you email me and give me some pointers on training for a 5K. I've heard the whole run for 3 walk for 2, run for 3 walk for 2 is good.... But I'd love to hear what you, or anyone else has to say!!!

i don't know if it's the best way, but what i did waaaay back when was start slow, then gradually incr speed and distance. there is a huge difference between running inside and running outside, and it sounds dumb, but getting that nike running mix was GRAT for me. good luck!

and please stop teasing me with your blog titles. kthx =)

Good for you! My girlfriend who runs swears by the run for 3 walk for 2, run for 3 walk for 2. Happy Running =).

Yay that is awesome! :)

To be honest with you, I have never really trained for a race...I just go out and run a lot. Probably not the best idea...but it works for me - but this is probably why I'm not a super good runner. What helps me is to run with someone faster than me - so that is always a challenge. And Liz is right - running outside is much different then on the treadmill.

I'm going to email you an interval run that I LOVE! I suggest that you try to do that twice a week (treadmill run) - and then run at least two times a week outside. The interval run will help you with speed, but it will also work your heart rate in such different zones - and that burns fat faster and longer! *I'm a huge fan of interval training*

Let me know if you get the email and if you like the run. If you have any questions with it - just let me know! :)

Good luck with your training! :)

Um hold on. You all swear that I am like, experienced with "running" Did y'all see the first sentence.... "I ran, and no one was chasing me" :) I don't "run" outside, and don't really plan on doing it more that twice a week IN the gym. I'm training S-L-O-W-L-Y. like Carly speed. :)
